You know who they are, right?
The ladies who bring all their humanity to the table in an effort to guide and support others on their path. Even if they don’t know they’re doing it. Those ones who offer a cosy cuppa or cuddle or cocktail at just the right time, and whose words seems to soothe your soul. They’ve often been on quite the journey themselves, so they walk their talk, and provide a lamp to light our way.
Some of my biggest teachers and most kindred spirits are people I’ve never even met.
Here’s where we share inspiration and pay thanks to some of the women who guide us on our way. The people who touch our lives in positive, galvanising ways. After all, we don’t have to be facing a cancer diagnosis or huge crisis to be in need of a little inspiration, support or nurturing.
We are more alike, my friends, than we are unalike
~ Maya Angelou
Let’s make this a community where we life each other up and share what unites us all (when first writing this, I had a typo and “unites” became “unties”. I think that’s pretty apt). Whilst our life circumstances may differ, we all know what it is to love, to lose, to fear, to resent, to relish, to hope, to long, to wish, to dread, to find the courage to let go of a past in order to embrace a future.
Who are the women that lift you up? Who or what helps you find your inner strength, perseverance, or sense of humour? Share in the comments below.
